a sad day in the edge250 household. one of my finch's died early this morning of unknown complications. may bubba finch rest in piece 2004-2007.
they know my wifes voice and it literally sounds like they sing to her.

sorry to hear that edge. my grandparents have a bunch of birds (at one time they had about 20, but now it's down to 6), a few of which are VERY good at talking and mimicking voices (african greys).
you can become attached to them just like any other pet.

I'm a bird guy myself. I have an 10yr old African Grey and have owned budgies and a Half-Moon Conure.

It is a sad day indeed. I'm very sorry to hear of the loss. I lost my little best mate a year and a half ago. He was a curly haired chihuahua and was 20 years old when I had him Put to sleep. He was my companion 24/7. I still shed a tear to this day when I think of him. I know what your going thru bro. Death is never easy. Keep your chin up my man.

at least your bird died a somewhat natural death. I had a cockatiel named Socrates and one morning my pet reticulated python got out of his cage and he strangled the lil guy
