Have you guys heard of the myostatin inhibitor called Ace-031? we have been discussing it on evo and it seems many guys think it's bunk, have you guys used it? any results?

I thought the consensus was it was better to increase follistatin and in so doing lower myostatin, rather than blocking myostatin outright.

Here is an interesting Webnar from ParrentProject about myostatin, I think the speaker says that the earlier attempts, maybe ace included had some issues that newer attempts resolve.

However, with a known 10G dose of bcaa's lowering myostatin by 50-75% and with other ways to lower it with supplements I don't see why people don't just make a supplement regime to accomplish a similar goal.

There interesting part was that when they injected myostatin-less/deficiant mice with ace-031 the mice still had an increase in muscle size.

The article mentions something that I keep saying continuously to people interested in trying myostatin inhibitors. The dosages used by a bodybuilder would cost in the neighbourhood of $10,000 per week for pharmaceutical grade. Whatever these research peptide companies are selling for $100-200 per vial is not legitimate myostatin inhibitors. What it actually is...well your guess is as good as mine.

I wouldn't touch them personally.

The doses used in the study were like 100x the dose people typically run. I don't see running 1mg/week can do much for us. And you're not likely to find legit pharma ace031 anyway. Go with pharma gh will probably have more bang for the buck.

I researched this item a few years back.
The problem is not isolating the peptide, the big issue is the carrier agent .
This pep needs a actual live virus or bacteria to be systematically dispersed, like an e-coli agent or something similar and that could potentially cost thousands of dollars for daily administration.
You would need daily doses to block myostatin and even if you could afford it there is no solid human data that suggests it would produce the huge amount of gains some companies claim.
At this point you would be wasting your cash.

If you did used an Adeno-associated virus, then you would just need one administration. Besides they did that with Follistatin, not Ace-031.

You have to take ACE-031 daily, as a protein, and it does what they claimed it did: it binds with myostatin.
