I haven't seen a lot of discussion about this compound but I know some of you are familiar with it.
ACE-083
Contrary to ace 031 and follistatin, 083 is a *localized* myostatin inhibitor, only affecting the site of injection.
The compound has several clinical trials under its belt and is undergoing another one at this time. The previous trial concluded results were dose dependent, with the highest dosage eliciting 15-20% size increase in the target muscle.
Personally I am very interested in this compound because of its potential for lagging bodyparts. My right arm is 2" smaller than the left arm because of a birth defect. No amount of AAS is going to remedy this.
The patients who receive these drugs have innate muscle degeneration. Intuitively it might be even more effective mg per mg for someone without such a condition.
now I have seen several peptide companies selling 083, average of 70$ per mg. Firstly I'm very skeptical that whatever is in those vials matches the formulation of the pharmaceutical company.
Secondly, the dosages used in these studies were on the order of 250mg once every 3 weeks, or roughly 10mg per day. Assuming you're getting real stuff, that is 700$ per day.
I've seen a few logs for this compound dating back to 2014, where users had injected into lagging body parts, e.g. arms and calves. The dosages were minuscule compared to the study dosages. 1mg divided up over a week. And yet they reported significant gains. Anyone care to postulate on that?
Clearly any significant dosage would be expensive as hell to run. But if it meant restoring symmetry to my arms I would gladly fork over a few thousand. I'd just like to hear the opinions of some other users here. I think some of you have even dabbled with it.
