All the rules of the main board still apply to this forum. The following additional rules and guidelines apply to this counseling forum specifically.
1. All members are free to post and respond to posts as long as your reponses and posts do not serve to invoke feelings of negativity towards members, members of a specific group, or even non-members who are unaware of your remarks. Posts that are innapropriate and only serve to invoke additional negativity toward people will not be tolerated. Members come here to discuss problems of a personal nature. It is important that when in this forum, people feel safe and recieve positive advice due to the very sensitive nature of the topics.
2. Comments should be made in a positive and mature way to move people in a positive direction. If one of the resident psychologists or moderators feel a particular comment is inappropriate, the comment can be deleted or edited and you can be warned or eventually even banned at a moderator's discretion and without notice.
3. This is not the General Discussion Forum. Comments made here are subject to staff approval.
4. Please refrain from giving advice regarding medications someone is taking. Even an offhand remark can make someone consider dropping their medication before it has begun to exhibit it's full effect.
5. Please also refrain from giving psychological advice to any member that has been diagnosed and/or is being treated for a medical condition. Remember that this counseling forum is a great place to come and discuss whatever ails you. You can dump on the forum if you've had a bad day or feel bad because your girl left you etc. That's what we're here for and I think you will find all our family here to happy to support you.
So help each other. Play nice and be kind to one another. Share your thoughts and opinions freely but just be mindful that what you are writing can have an impact on someone's life. So do your best to make sure it's a positive impact.
