ADDING DIFFERENT LANGUAGE SUBTITLES TO AVI FILES

Anyone know how to do this ? Some people create a SRT file and add them to a AVI file before uploading it like the one I opened that had Portuguese subs .

Are you saying you want to remove the subtitles?

First, they have to be true subtitles and not part of the video, Then it depends on the video player you are using. I use the K-Lite codec package which comes with Media Player Classic. (I've attached a picture of where to turn off subtitles in Media Player Classic.)

If it's a different player, I don't know what to say except look around in the menu.

USING SUBS IN VIDEOS

I have 2 different programs for playing movie files with subs and one program does not display the subs across the screen, only in print and they're out of sync . A co- worker who is a computer programmer had me back up the programs and AVI files onto a disc and will take a look at it for me . He works for Sony on the side and what I spend days trying to figure out can probably take him 2 minutes . He said the problem he thinks lies within the program itself and has to be fixed , and some of the subs are displayed as " unsupported format or " bad file . A lot of these subs I downloaded from different sites and had a lot of malware .
