Adesanya have gyno?

Often when people are on even just TRT, once they stop, testosterone stays low and estrogen stays high (relative to test), this is the perfect scenario for gyno to developed. Didn't they just pull all the UFC guys off of TRT a year or so back?

No... Adesanya has 100 wins in fighting against a lot of the world’s best... He’s demolished I think 7 of the top 10 guys in UFC Middleweight, who has Costa fought that’s worth bragging about? A 41 year old Romero? That’s it... And even then a lot of people had Romero winning the fight... Costa has a long way to go to level up. They threw him to the wolves, he needs far more experience and he needs more tools, that brawler style only gets you so far..

yep i was surprised when people thought costa would win.
the odds weren't great but i made some good money on adesanya as i couldnt see how he would lose this one.

Which is why I ask myself all the time;

“Why the fuck didn’t Yoel use his wrestling?!”

Romero could’ve easily taken him down and done as he pleased, Khabib style... But instead he wanted to have the ego and try to bang with him, and Izzy is too calculated for that and played it smart and patient.. When Romero was bitching after the fight saying “Oh this is the type of champion you have? He did nothing etc” he was wrong, dead wrong. YOU are the challenger, YOU should’ve taken him into deep waters he’s never been to before, instead you tried to lure him in to a game he’s a master of, and you failed.. I have no doubt in my mind if Romero would’ve used his wrestling, he’d be champion right now. Instead he has to now live his life knowing he fucked up and now he’ll probably never get another title shot again..

I think he was just trying to get him to come forward. He knew if Adesanya could sit back and counterstrike, he was fucked, so he tried to goad him. Adesanya was patient though, and when Costa finally came forward he got the counter hook.

Khamzaet?? I know he's a hype train right now and he's new but I'd love to see him and Adysanya. His wrestling is incredible. Haven't seen his chin really tested. That's the fight I want to see. I'm a fan of Whittaker but not sure a 2nd fight would go any different that the 1st

Romero is one weird dude. Seems like the type of guy who would get instruction from his corner and then completely disregard it. You're right, it's rare that he uses his wrestling. The fact that a world champion in freestyle wrestling would choose not to wrestle the majority of the time is a real headscratcher. The only argument i can see with that is that if he's going for a lot of takedowns he could get gassed but i've seen him (and Lombard too) basically stand still and not engage before and i couldn't tell if this was a strategy to save energy or just them being weird. Not a fan of either. On a side note, I did see Yoel hit a beautiful inside trip against Costa.

Im a huge Khamzat fan right now as well, I think he’s the real deal when it comes to wanting to fight and that he’ll face anyone at any time... Ive listened to Schaub on his podcast talk to people who train with him and apparently he’s a beast, the best they’ve ever seen in the gym and even handles guys like Gustafsson, who was arguably the best 205er on the planet behind Jon Jones... So that’s saying A LOT...

That being said I still think it’s early for him and we have to see what he does with guys in the top 5 or top 8 etc... Supposedly he’s got a fight with Wonderboy in the works, and he’s an amazing fighter and currently ranked #5 at welterweight, if they end up fighting and he dominates then I think we may potentially have a future new welterweight champ on our hands here...

As for him at middleweight, id love to see Khamzat against a top 5 guy there as well, I think if Khamzat can do what he’s been doing against a Darren Till or Whittaker then I think Adesanya is in deep shit.. Especially since I think Khamzat has zero trouble using his wrestling and won’t play the ego game, he’ll play the “I came here to win by any means necessary” game...

Adesanya is a world champion kickboxer.

You need a great wrestler to take the fight to the ground and at least make him change stances and limit some of his repertoire, especially with his feet. Cant have a K-1 champ throwing question mark kicks at you unopposed.

A good wrestler in that division? Maybe Khamzat Chimaev when he finally proves he is worthy of a title shot but until then its gonna be Izzy for a while

There’s very little evidence, if any, that cannabis has any effect on hormones, let alone spiking estrogen so high you’d get gyno..

If that was the case, I’d have bigger tits than any pornstar ever lol... I was a very heavy smoker for years, I have many many friends who’ve smoked for more than 30 years... No one has any gyno issues..

I got to train w/Jacarare some 15 years ago. Super nice guy and at that time, probably the best sport bjj guy in the world. This was a short time before he would begin MMA. I would have liked to have seen Yoel fight DC at 205. who would you pic?

I will say this about Adesanya, I hope he doesn't have breast cancer and it is in fact drug induced.

I agree, Khamzat Chimaev is a fun guy to watch and hopefully keeps up his winning ways in the 170lb class. Chimaev has a choice of Maia or Wonderboy. I think he'll go through Thompson but a fight with Maia COULD be interesting. Maia will be 43 in November. It would have been interesting to see this fight if Maia was at least 5 years younger.

I have to disagree on Gustafsson being the best 205er behind Jones. That title goes to Daniel Cormier hands down. Not sure how Gus gets ahead of DC?
