Advice.... starting first REAL cycle

Ok.... so if you read my previous posts I have made some really "novice" choices and to be honest, I wasnt dedicated to getting the most out of my workout, my eating, or my supplements.

SO.. I took the last 6-7 months to dedicate myself. To get where I needed to be and to see if this is something I could do without any help.

Stats 6 months go... 5"8, 231, 34% BF (not great, I know) I was looking for the easy way out, thinking I could just take something and all my problems would just go away... nieve and stupid... I know... (please dont think that i just started lifting 6 months ago, I have lifted pretty consistanly for 12 years...I just never put the diet into play... which i am finding out is 80% of your workout success)

Today... 5"8, 205, 24% BF... Still not fab, but the 6 meal a day program is working wonders, I work out CONSISTANTLY, I do cheat on some meals, but hey, Im not looking to compete...but i have put in some serious work. I do more cardio than i have ever had before. Im mostly proud of the BF drop, I could care less about the body weight, its the fat that i want to drop.

I told myself that once i get below 200 and below 25% BF that i could then seriously consider some "supplements".... Well, I figure I am 3 weeks from that goal and I wanted some advice on what go with.

I was thinking of doing a Deca/Sus(250) cycle, 8 weeks... I figure the extra muscle should help me burn some of that extra fat that i have, while really fillout out my physique. A friend of my suggested D-Bol and Sus...but to be honest the D-bol is a pill and my liver wont appreciate it ( I have had that problem before)....

I am open to any and all suggestions... even if its, get your fat ass back in the gym for another 6 months and see what you can do...

My goal is to be around 190-195 pounds with 15% BF and im not sure if the Deca Sus combo will help me achieve this goal (hence the post).... I dont want to compete, but i do want to improve my over all health and attitude towards myself. I have worked really hard getting fat and i have been working really hard to get inshape. I know if i contiune on my current diet I can get to the 15% BF, but my weight will drop to around 180-185ish... thats a bit smaller than I want to be....

I know people here can be brutally honest... so let me know what you think...

Also, if you have a betting plan that Deca/Sus... please feel free to sugest something... I am open to ideas...

I would honestly advise yuo to try and do much more with yuor training and diet first. Yuor bodyfat is still pretty high, though yuo've done really well at bringing it down, so definately keep that up! Yuor goal shuold be to add lean mass and lose bodyfat, which, given yuor stats, yuo should still be able to do without AAS.

The two compounds yuo've chosen are not going to be the best for trying to get leaner: Deca has progesterone side effects which can make people hold water and gain fat, Test of any kind is notorious for water weight gain and aromatizing to an estrogen, both of which also add to bodyfat if not carefully controlled. Then there's the whole issue fo coming off and PCT, which most people ignore and/or screw up.

Take some more time to lose fat, learn about training and diet, and when yuo get under 15% (which as a bodybuilder yuo shuold try and stay with), THEN consider AAS.

To get feedback here (and not have yuor post deleted), work out an entire cycle plan complete with PCT, then ask for input.
 
Thanks bro... I see your point. The more reseach i do on Deca and Sus, the more i realize that its not the right combo for me. Im not wanting the bulky mass look. Maybe Im getting ahead of myself and just want to get lean quick, but I can handle another 6 months of diet and training... its no big deal... I would rather do it right the first time then fuck it up....

My goal is for the summer of 08... So if i train hard and eat properly for the next 6 months, that puts me March(ish), hopefully around 15% BF... then i can consider a summer cycle to add some lean mass to my frame.

Any ideas on how to cut BF quicker? Im pushing my cardio up and going to a 6-6-10-12(fail)-12(fail) set routine, this should shock my muscles upfront and then burn them out at the end.

I will repost periodically for updates... not that anyone cares, but it keeps me motiviated...

congrats on you r accomplishments. to burn more fat, do cardio first thing every morning on an empty stomach, and after weight training. try scaling carbs back after your third meal, this does wonders for me and also limit your cheating to one meal a week. you do not need any gear to reach your goals.
how much water are you drinking a day? be sure to get in at least a gallon a day. cut your rest times in between sets to 45-60 sec.

The other thing yuo might play with a bit is cyclic ketogenic diets. Straight-line dieting tends to slow metabolic rates if adhered to for long periods.
 
Mr PUMP, I agree with DAD. Your body is responding pretty well to what you are doing. You are on the right track to focus on fat loss not scale weight. You are now in a position to start manipulating your diet and trying different things all diet related. Your fat loss so far is great! You want to keep this going for another 6-8 months and re-evaluate. You don't need AAS now! OLD SAYING, IF IT AINT BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!! This is so true in our sport. The pursuit of a better body is a long time proposition! This does not happen fast. Put it another way, you didn't get fat over night, so it won't get thin over night either! Be patient, work hard. As mentioned try the cycling diets. These are very powerful fat burners and will yeild great results. Good work and keep, it up!
 
Just want to say good job man! Those are good gains on your goal in 6 months. I agree with the previous posts but gotta bump you up for hard work. Remeber the largest percentage of changes in your body is what you put in your mouth everyday. Diet is the biggest factor and deserves as much time to research as any program or AAS cycle.

i have a friend in a similar situation. i say keep up all the good work, your doing a great job on your own and dont need any extra help yet. however if you do want alittle extra help try an over the counter fat burner like hydroxycut or whatever brand you choose. i do know people that have had great results from some of these products. as with anything if you do choose this route remember to listen to your body, just because its OTC doesnt mean that it cant hurt you.
