Knowing alot of the bad sides of alcohol like your average kidney, liver problems, does it play a significant part in blood pressure also? I say this because the day after a night of drinks, I can almost feel the pressure difference. It feels like it skyrockets.

Oh yes, it will raise the BP BIG TIME. Especially anything over 1 drink for a woman and 2 for a man in a 24 hour period. That's what a doctor told my friend who had high BP... for me, that news sucks! Oh! and he also told my friend you can't "save up" your 2 drinks a day until Friday and have 12!

Not sure, I tend to avoid any alcohol beverage unless very special occasion.

i guess i will be dying of a massive heart attack soon from my high BP,,haha..

i actually just made a pact with myself.... only drinking on the weekends and only getting drunk one night.... we'll see how it goes...

Damn, I agreed with myself to start up drinking less start this week. It had only been on weekends or EO weekend up until a month or so ago. Then, it was my friends b-day, and after that its been like every weekend!! lol oh well, life goes on. -StOrY-

its hard espeicially when youve just turned 21 (like me), your friends range from 21-24 and there are girls ALWAYS around hangin at my friends' houses to go talk to and drink with. Ohh, and you play in a band. That REALLY doesnt help the whole drinking situation.

You know this is the second time I'm on suspension and I drank and actually lost my temper big time...I was in a festive mood and decided to drink some Sam Adams along with sambuca and the littlest thing sent me going...I made a toal ass out of myself....I know my b/p was way up...I'm actually suprised that I didn't stroke out to honest with you....

I think I should follow Alin's plan drink very seldom....

My best friend said that also.....It's the smell that I have to worry about...I have a 15 yr.old step-daughter who goes to a catholic school and is anti...big time.....

I think the bottom line is like Alin said quit drinking or drink light beer like I did yesterday...There were a couple of bud light's in the fridge...So i drank them and lost my taste for beer......I usaully only drink Heinekin and have been for well over 25 yrs. or so...

Yes. It affects BP and will sometimes make your face flushed.
