Aldactone + Women

Hi Folks;

I'll post this in the female section as well, although I am hoping for guys to provide feedback as well.

How bad/safe is it for my wife to take Aldactone for about two weeks straight @ only 25mg a day??

This is not for comepettion reasons or anything remotley close to that. She trains with me and eats well and all that other good stuff. She is in good shape and quite fit.

We will be going to DR in about 8 weeks and every time we go away, she starts to retain water from the heat and you can really notice it on her after the 2nd day + throw in the salt of the food there = retaining water.

We went to Sandals Antigau last year for 2 weeks, she was in the best shape, she gained about 7-8 lbs in two weeks. She was getting little moon face like on a cycle

Anyhow, thoughts?

She used danlion as well, really does not do much.

Very safe at that dose. My wife and I always use diretics during our vacations. We work very hard to achieve that vacation body and can't seem to get around the hidden salt in resort or restaurant food, the alcohol and small deserts don't help either. The excess water creeps up fast if untreated. Our favorite is Dyazide and we use it as needed. We find our conditioning and water table does not change much over the week when using dyazide. Keep hydrated if getting plenty of sun.
Have fun!! Also, you can experiment a bit with the dose, example- 25 mg Aldactone 2 times per day if holding extra water.

I am a woman and was RX'd aldactone for androgenic hair loss because it blocks DHT or testosterone. I have slightly high testosterone naturally.

Hey sounds like you had a fabulous time. I felt spot on before my holiday last year but held water after about a week. Before hand i hammered the gym, ate a great diet and had body wraps to shed water retention and tone skin and also massage to drain trapped fluid. And then on my holiday I relaxed. I felt really good and even though i gained a few pound I was still happy because know I can start again when i'm home. X
