100-200mg three times a day is very sufficient

So, essentially the same dose as r-ala... I guess its just far more effective.

You need to take it with food.

I take my ALA without food and never experience any sides. By the way, I'm using the brand that Alpha recommended. I'm presently consuming 600 mg a day.

I keep reading where to take it with food, but I take it an hour or two before a meal and no sides.....

I never got acid reflux from r ala but after several days at 400mg a day I broke out in a strange red rash on my back and neck. Stopped and after a day or two it was gone. A week later started up on 200mg and got the same rash again . Guess I can't mess with it

From everything I can gather on researching the subject...even though Geronova licensed Na-r-ala might in fact be superior.. it might be better off on the pocket books if you just take a whole hell of a lot of ala. (1200mg)
One thing that is clear and seems evident is that r-ala will degrade and gum up if not stored correctly. What I would like to know is does regular ala also degrade like r-ala?

I really am a fan of the now foods product line and always have been for a long time for my supplemental needs. I do scratch my head and wonder why they only carry ala and not any of its new forms. Maybe more of it in the original form is the best route?
