Ammonia smell from cardio

I'm bulking but did 30 minutes of cardio today to keep the fat down. I got this ammonia smell I got when I was cutting. Does that mean I'm burning muscle and should stop cardio?

What does that ammonia smell mean and should I even care?

i had thought peple who sweat ammonia smell where depleting toxins (hence the smell) correct me if im wrong:eek:

My guess would be that you were in ketosis. Whatever the case, wash your shirt afterwards cuz if you leave it for awhile, it'll develop bacteria and smell like mildew, even after you wash it.

I'm on 500 test 400 eq 3 gh a day and 50 t3

Does anyone know what the smell is or means or what I should do about it?

I experienced the same thing on 300/300 test & eq. I didn't know it was me but I always smell ammonia and think it had been use for cleaning when I smelled it. Then I got a whiff of my pits. I didn't worry much about it because I have had supps that make my sweat smell like sewage the point i was scared to get on a machine next to anyone.

No I read t3 with gh and test helps the protein intake. I read somewhere yesterday where they said 50 mgs is a standard bulking dose. I was taking 20 mgs.

I thought it was 12.5-25mcg to help with nutritional partitioning while bulking

Maybe your right. I was on 20 mcg and upped it to 50 just yesterday because what I read. I'll let you know how it goes. I seem to be stuck at 205 now anyway :(

You beat me to it. I finally thought I knew the answer to a question that no one else knew!

The ammonia smell is from your body metabolizing muscle as fuel. If you do the chemistry, the metabolism of muscle mass will equate to an ammonia smell in your sweat.

First I want to thank you for taking the time to help me as I am just a beginner and that's why I post here. I'm 51 and have been training for many years but I just began using gear in the last year so I can use all the help I can get.

You saw I was doing fasted cardio in the morning right? So for me to get the ammonia smell it matters what I've been eating the day before?

My diet since I'm bulking is just relaxed with more food and a lot more protein with nuts cottage cheese and 4 protein drinks being added in. My question is the smell always muscle being burned or can it also be protein recently ingested?

I'm really interested in this because in my last cycle, a cutting one, I dropped a lot of weight but it seemed like it was just as much muscle as fat and I was doing 20-40 minutes of fasted cardio every day with 100 mcgs of T3 75 Tren EOD and 400 Test a week and getting the ammonia smell any time I pushed it hard or longer.

I'm going to do another cutting cycle in June and don't want the same results as last time losing so much size and muscle and still having fat on my stomach and just a 4 pack and ANY help you can give me do be more effective would be appreciated.
