hey guys, been a member of this board for a long time now, and have been seeing some amazing transformation over the past year or so.. so i thought id get in on the act!
ok a little history on me, been training since around 17years of age, im now turning 22 in 2 weeks!
only been seriously training for aroud 3 years, made some mistakes along the way, but dont we all?
this past off season, from around 2008-2009, i did my own off-season plan. this was just eat eat and eat.. and guess what?? i just got FAT!!.. so after a while, i decided to get my ass into shape, as im looking to compete in 2011.. in steps SHELBY..
i hired this guy in dec 2009, and let me tell ya, hes phenomal! replies so quickly to queries and emails, and hes just been their everystep of the way, its been an amazing journey so far, and im looking to forward to making my best gains this up coming off-season... when i hired shelby, our main goal was to loose bodyfat, keep muscle and get to a leaness where i could start a lean mass phase, we have achieved our goal, and im looking forward to this off season now..
As far as trainings concerned, for my off season i will be doing DC training the 3way split, keeping cardio and, and training with better form and consitancy.. i want to give shout outs, to phil hernon, b boy, mainevent, alex azarian, and obvcourse shelby as these guys take the time out to put valuable information here on the board..
My bros are also on this board under the names OMEGA RED, and Main events young client is my younger bro...

after

in the before pics i was around 245-250lbs, in the after pics, im around 195lbs..
i did so many wrong things in my off season before, overeat, cared to much about the scale, didnt progressively train harder or get any stronger.. and the end result was i just got fat. i also did no cardio... but we live and we learn..
i train with a lot more thought now, i dont just jerk the weight up and down, i try to control every movement etc...
im really excited to see what this up coming off-season brings me, i know ive got my work cut-out, but i aint scard to bust my ass , thanks guys :)

Great transformation brother. Upper back is awsome. The best thing you did was to hire SHELBY. He puts out some of the best transformations. Good work and keep it up bro.

thanks bro, i got loads to do this off season with shelby, but theres so many positives ive never done.. one being ive never trained at a propa gym! lol.. im going to join one now ;)

at the moment, me and shelby are transitioning into our lean gain phase, so this is all new to me! whenever ive dieted before, ive just gone mad after my lean down thinking im going to get rebound and just got fat...
i havent trained a real gym so ive started at one now... ive only ever done the basic exercises to build my body, and thats all been done on a smyth machine at home, bar some exercises using dumbells.. so theres a lot to look forward too.. ill keep this post as updated as i can, as i know seeing other peoples journeys and other clients on here, is what got me going...
 
calves,hams,quads day - 20/05/2010

weight : 202lbs

standing calve raise - 144 x 14ss
hamstring curls - 72 x 15rp
squats - 286 x 11 , 308 x 5
squat widowmaker - 166 x 19

notes:
well today was my first leg session in the off-season.. felt good, keeping as good form as possible, controlling the weight more and focussing more on the negative side of the rep too...
its the first time ive done free weight squatting it felt good... legs are measuring around 29inches...

I've got 3-5 weeks left of finishing out my diet phase before I can get working on size so this thread is wetting my appetite for some high carb days lol.

thanks bro.. im going to try and keep this updated as much as i can, at the moment, im doing a dc split, nothing special in the diet, just dieting my way back up... i think a lot of people, once theyve done and low calorie diet, or have dieted for a peroid of time, decide to balooon back up , that what i use to do, i mean its hard to gain 5lbs of muscle a year lol, so i dont know why people go crazy and try and gain 50lbs post diet phase, everything works hand in hand, and im learning more and more whilst working withh shelby.
 
Good stuff, with Shelby and DC training you've got things covered for sure.
