I’ve had mercury poisoning for 7+ years, obviously it hinders your bodybuilding and life. It’s probably very common, people just don’t usually check for heavy metal toxicity. I’d say most people are toxic in multiple metals today. My issues from it all are hindered detox pathways; horrible digestion (bathroom 20 times a day burning bile mucus stool that is never formed) unless my diet is absolutely emaculate, (I’ve figured out how to manage) you have to avoid most compounds in foods which chelate/detoxify even good foods, things like sulfur in food will stir the issue up, while at the same time you need them to be “healthy”. No NAC, I can’t drink “super foods” like raw milk because of the high ALA content. I can’t handle sulfites, preservatives, anything processed. Physically you feel like an old man, I’ve felt that way sometimes crippled since 20 years old. I won’t go into how it makes you feel mentally, it’s whatever there is nothing to gain from sharing your feelings LOL
Organ wise: kidneys mostly, but it affects everything dependent on how toxic you are, gave me asthma that reacts to anything that hinders my detox pathways, I can be wheezy from a bite of takeaway food.
Anyways, it’s not stopped me from living life - I can imagine how it might feel to go from normal to sick, that must really suck, I’ve always been sick so the attitude it to get on with it.
