Androgel 1.62% TRT equivalent?

Hi guys,

For those on TRT, specifically Androgel 1.62% pump, do you know how many pumps is equivalent to say 250mg of Test Cyp?

I've been on TRT for about 2 years now, and when I'm off cycle only on TRT, 4 pumps daily, I find that I have good energy, but no sex drive, unlike when on as little as 250 mg of Test Cyp weekly, I have energy AND sex drive. I've even upped my TRT to 8 pumps daily and it hasn't made a difference.

I know the product says it's a certain %, but how much are you actually absorbing transdermally?

Would appreciate replies from anyone who has this info, either scientifically or anecdotally or from personal experience. I'd like to be able to just use my prescribed TRT and completely cycle off if at all possible.

I will be experimenting with using 50mg proviron daily while on TRT to see if it helps with the libido.

Guys in the hrt section will be able to answer this better for you. But if you post what your blood work looks like on your hrt androgel, we might be able to give you an estimate.

Only about 10% of the test in Androgel gets through the skin. A MUCH smaller dose than 250mg/week of cyp would be. Even at 8 pumps a day. I've used AndroGel in the past. Not anymore. Its a VERY expensive test delivery system.

Sorry I will explain. I get a scrip from my endo for the androgel covered by my insurance. My endo does not offer injections as an option, only gel. I get labs done every 3-6 months by the endo monitoring my liver values, cholesterol, prostate, test, etc., as well as blood pressure. All good so far.

For several reasons I would like to limit my off scrip cycling to maybe twice a year to stay healthy, and the rest of the time use my scrip TRT.

Reasons:

* My insurance covers the TRT. Saves me some cash.
* Want to stay healthy and not cycle too much.
* My labs will be more accurate if I'm mostly on TRT and my endo can evaluate my labs properly. If I'm doing my own off scrip Test Cyp all the time, my labs will not be true and my endo is getting bad info.

So, based on my labs and my energy levels, I should be good on the prescribed TRT, but my libido is the only issue. Anyone who is married with a healthy sex life knows how the wife is not happy when that happens for an extended period of time. I'm going to add Proviron to see if that helps, but I'm hoping others have already solved this issue.

Note: I've been pinning for 10+ years, that's not the issue. Although less scar tissue would be good too.
