Hey guys,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I got recommended to this board by a friend that I made on another message board over 4 years ago when I first started training.
A little about me - I started my journey fresh out of Highschool at 135 lbs 5'11. I was the kid that was just there but not really that well known. I played a few sports but wasnt too good at it and didnt take it seriously. Never really stood up for myself either and I disliked who I was.
I started lifting and did alot of research on the more mainstream fitness boards where I made a friend from another state that was in the same shoes as me. His advice and friendship became invaluable to me. He has become one of my best friends and I've never even met the guy in person. He set me on the right course and 4 years later here I am at 170 lbs. I'm not the biggest nor the strongest guy but I'm getting there.
Training taught me alot about who I wanted to be and how to work for it. I got tired of not being able to defend myself and started boxing. I boxed for about a year alongside lifting and won my first amateur fight at my local boxing clubs fight night. Very proud moment for me. I learned I'd rather be sleeping and working hard in the gym than getting drunk and spending all my money and most importantly time on stupid shit.
Goals: I'd like to hit 200 lbs, im around 170 currently. I was almost at 180 but cut to 165 early this year for some reason. I'd like to be able to squat 405 (doing 315 for reps now) and bench 275 (225 on decline now - my weakest body part). Hoping to soak up some know-how from you experienced guys and get myself to the next level.
