2.5mgs of finasteride, twice daily-5mgs total daily dose
0.5mgs of dutasteride daily (more if you can afford it)
An Aromatase inhibitor such as Arimidex (0.5-1mg daily) or Femara (1.25-2.5 mg daily). You can use both, on alternate days for best results.
5% minoxidil, used twice daily
2% topical spironoloactone solution used twice daily ( It blocks androgens at the scalp...best not used it at the same time of minoxidil application or it will give off a funy odor.
Wash scalp with Nizoral shampoo 3-5 times weekly.

Shave your head. Its either that or with finesteride, lose the potential of a great androgenic by-product DHT. Great for CNS stimulation, hardness, strength-not to mention the secondary sex characteristics. In otherwords your dick will die.

Jr - what is the point of using both finasteride and dutasteride? Duta acts pharmacologically on type I 5-alpha reductase and also type II whereas Finasteride only deals with type II inhibition. IMO, no need to use both of these compounds, I would just use Duta. Oh and the half-life of Duta is longer than 24hrs so dosing more than daily is over-kill.

Personally what has worked for me is:

Finasteride + 5% monoxidil + nizoral

Finasteride blocks 70% of DHT conversion mainly through type 2 5 AR. 2.5mgs of dutasteride blocks 90%-100% of BOTH type 2 and type 1. Type 2 is predominantly in the prostate, where type 1 is mainly in the skin/scalp. Hence, dutasteride is a much better drug for hairloss, but also prostate problems. The reason for taking finasteride/dutasteride by themselves is that you lower DHT leverls, this increases test. and helps the prostate.

Vander- all dutasteride is is Avodart here in America. The come in 0.5mg caplets and run about $2.50 a cap. As for finasteride all that is is proscar/propecia. Nizoral shampoo is over the counter in canada. You'll need a prescription in the USA.

Right so take 2.5mgs of dutasteride and forget the finasteride. BTW, not sure that 90-100% inhibition of both types really makes a difference over say, 70% inhibition in terms of clinical efficiacy. I'd probably start lower dose and see how well it works and only go up if I was still thinning.
