Any body know how to take triamterene before contest?

Firstly, hi to all the regular old boys out here, I aint been participating on the board for a while but still check it out from time to time. Anyway I have a friend of mine that is competing next week and he usualy uses lassix to get rid of water but he felt that last time he used it he came to flat and hes gonna try triamterene.

Im against these type of drugs myself and I cant tell the guy what to do but the least I could do is tell him how to use triamterene properly. The guy cant speak a word of English so he cant come to boards like this ask for help.

Any suggestions on how to advise him?

Perhaps you are referring to Diazide, which is hydrochlorothiazide & triamterene. The triamterene makes the diuretic more potassium sparing. Not sure what good triamterene would be by itself.

Isnt Aldactone the best potassium sparing diuretic?

The actual make of the drug is Triamteril and yes I heard its a potassium sparring diuretic, I dont know if it has hydrochlorothiazide in it as well.

Has anyone used this for contest prep?
