I been on trading floor of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) when it was possible to do so (and take fotos to). It was very exciting. Talk about energy!

My uncle is a big time trader. He had a seat. Very very expensive. And he about lost his voice doing do. He doesn’t go on the floor (do they still do that?) anymore, does it all remotely.

Nice. Yeah I can imagine how much energy was in there. Completely different than now

Nah pretty sure they closed the pits up. 1 of the Livestreams I watch there are a couple of Veterans on and they talk about the days in the Pits

Me too. Futures; Gold, Silver, Oil. Indices too.... Stock Futures are coming this summer actually, I'm def interested to see how these go lol

Was wondering the same thing when I saw this thread. Figured the day trading on the floor must be a thing of the past now a days. After watching Wallstreet as a kid I wanted to be a stock broker lol, never went that route though.

My wife worked on the trading floor as well when she was a broker. It runs in my wife’s family. Her dad worked for E.F. Hutton, he was responsible for all of the Midwest US. Then he retired and bought a winery in Sonoma County, which is a whole other story.
