Dude. I was all over Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal and both expansion packs. They are still the only games I really play. Not a heavy gamer anymore.I dont think youve played the new doom from the sound of it. Doom 2016 nailed the atmosphere.
Doom eternal (2020)...what a ride. Its some of the most fun you can have with your clothes on. Total power fantasy. Its go-go-go and absolutely murder demons while platforming. Its perfect to the point they are slowing it down for the next one because they perfected speed and glory kills.
I could not believe how fun Doom Eternal was while I was playing it. I cant recommend it enough while we are waiting for the new one (which no matter how good it is will play completely differently than eternal).
Seriously, check it out.
Bro, I dont know how old you are but if we grew up together it would have been a friendship for life most likely.
If you sat around playing doom on a 486 listening to metal, we were doing the same thing.
I can not express how awesome it is to see someone else say they couldnt get into skyrim...I played that game and all I found I loved about it was the horse that could go anywhere.
I played the hell out of BF2042 and Battlefield 2.
I still have all my comics. Xforce #1, etc.
Did you play guitar, drums, etc? I assume you did. Our arcs are very similiar. Did you have a sick parent and a sibling with 15 years of difference to you too?
I assume most guys would turn the cable onto the playboy channel in an attempt to see some titty so I wont even ask and just assume.
But, back in the day, I remember playing on my 386 with the resolution turned down and the screen shrunk down so the processor could keep up. When I saved up for my 486 66mhz, it was like a whole new world.
Later on, the Half Life games, the Quake series, etc. And I don't play any instruments, but I hear my 16 year old son playing guitar in his room right now. And he's as big a Doom fan as me. He downloaded the original on his PC recently.
