Any ophthalmologist or someone who's had an eye issue here? I have a question.

For the last 3 days I have been dealing with a tiny slashing light on the top right corner of my left eye when I rotate my eyes either right or left, without feeling any pain whatsoever. Now when I turn them slowly, I do not get that at all. Is that something to worry about now that access to an ophthalmologist is practically impossible? anyone has dealt with this before?

Sorry for the size of the fonte, I tried to change it, the system wouldn't let me.

The eye is VERY vulnerable given our lifestyles.
Best go see an eye doctor ASASP.
Post outcome please.

More than likely it is a vitreous detachment. Should go away in a week or two.
If you notice any vision loss in the future you will need to find a retinal specialist asap.

Light flashers dont indicate serious issues in my experience. Visions loss, dark/black patches and floating indicate problems that may be retinal. I am 100% blind in my right eye in the central vision, I still have my peripheral vision though. I have a traumatic macular hole in my retina that cannot be repaired.

I'd go see an eye specialist if the problem persists.

My response is make an appointment with a Retina Specialist. As one of the members said it could be a vitreous detachment and will go away. This particular phenomena usually occurs as you get older (not always) or can happen from blunt force or even heavy cough and sneezing. If not attended to it can result in a retina detachment. Don’t procrastinate and the earlier to be examined the better. It happened to me I went in for a routine medical eye exam and they noticed it and immediately booked me an appointment with a Retina Specialist. The day of my appointment he examined my eye and suggested an operation procedure to be done at that moment. I agreed and it only took 15-20 minutes tops. It was a combination of cryo and laser surgery to prevent my retina dim detaching.

was there any knife cutting involved..anestesia? would you in few words describe how it was done?

was that your proper experience?

I see the eye doctor 2x a year. Sounds like the jelly stuff around the eye is detaching which is normal as we age. If money is an issue then go to the optometrist other than an ophthalmologist. He can check the eye esp the retina and optic nerve. Hopefully that’s all it is!!!

There no cutting. Non-invasive láser. No pain to speak of, other it being a pain on the ass. Lol You’re basically sitting still and head pressed against examination machine while the doctor does his thing. Outpatient procedure.
