My current official record as a 165 is 192lbs raw at a USAPL meet in February this year. I've done a tough 215 in the gym, and I'm working toward a 225 raw by the end of the year.
I wish WABDL had a raw division, the shirts are brutal!
 
I'm pretty sure that gear is addictive.

Raw lifting is a gateway drug. First you get a belt, then some knee sleeves, then knee wraps for a heavy set. Maybe an inzer blast shirt just to protect the shoulders a bit.....

Followed by having a couple of 300 pounds guys beating on you to get a bench shirt/squat suit on so that you can get under a weight that would probably crush you if you thought about it too much.
 
i did a couple push/pulls...then finally did my first full meet in January 2010 drug free and at 242lbs did

Bench: 415
Squat: 550
Dead: 650
Total: 1615

i've got a lot more in me...lookin to compete in Oct. at the Orlando Barbell Classic and Nov. at the SPF Record Breakers in Tennessee

I started powerlifting at age 16. I've had many injuries over the years. Finally in my late 30's went to lifting totally raw. No belt no nothing. I've tried to grow strength slowly, naturally thru the entire body, and mostly focus on high rep final sets, and save maxing out for rare occasions, and have remained injury free thru the process. I've been totally clean for 1.5 years (can't touch roids anymore due to blood clot disorder), and strength has grown slow but steady. I'm looking for a meet in the spring just after my 41st birthday. I roll about 180 compete 165. Here's what I've hit recently:

Squat - 315x20
Dead - 315x20
Bench - 215x8

I'm really curious to see how those translate to at the meet.
 
Too bad PL not in olypics or i wouldabeen there. But they got trampolene jumping!
dude if you did what all the other cool kids were doing you could probably go to the olympics with those numbers! jk drugs are bad! but those are some good numbers man for being "organic".

seriously the longer u wait the better the gear will be for you!
