Anyone attending the Emerald Cup?

Hey guys,

I have been here since 04/05 and remember posting my results at the Emerald Cup in 2005 (teen division).

I remember board members like JonnyO, Vulgar Display, hiramabiff, Jethrotull, and many many others that would chime in and generate great camaraderie.

Anyways,

Just wondering if anyone will be present there as I will be representing a few different sponsors etc...?

Would be great to talk to some of you

I thought it was pretty neat yesterday.

I was grocery shopping for my carb up/refeed day and picked up the March issue of Planet Muscle because Flex Wheeler was on the cover....

I turn to page 106 and see me in a biceps article! WTF! Talk about random, and the photographer nor I had any clue. I thought that was pretty neat.

It seems like so many of the old school guys here just disappeared man. Vander, Wyldeone, skip, all of those guys man. I miss those days as I was stoked to log in here and see Lats tell a story or Massive G post something awesome.

I notice it's not in Bellevue anymore, how far from downtown Seattle is Snoqualmie (sp) Casino? And where are most people going to stay if they are getting a hotel room for the night?

Ive missed the last 2 years because just too busy but making it this year so pretty stoked. Thinking of doing it again next year, who knows...

BTW, sweet photo spread. Thats hilarious you just picked it up and saw that and had no idea....you musta ran out of there to tell everyone eh? lol.

Did you see the masters overall winner last year?

He should have entered the supers as he would have given the winner a much closer run for the money....

He was pretty awesome, tall, but very filled out, impressive!

JohnnyO I remember you winning your class when I did the teens....that year was VERY impressive...wow....middles and Lt heavies were unreal.

Yea..lol...I NEVER look at that damn magazine....if flex wheeler was NOT on the cover I would have never known....

Because I doubt many other people I know personally would pick that magazine to browse through over MD, flex, etc....

Vancouver is a natural show....so NO you wont see crazy freaks...however,

Tanji Johnson and Frank Baum put on a class act show regarding vendors and guest posers!

Very great show to start off the 2011 competition season.

It's only about a 30-40 minute drive from Seattle. The website is recommending competitors to stay at the Holiday Inn in Issaquah (the Host hotel, The Hilton Garden Inn also in Issaquah, is apparently sold out), which is about 20 minutes away. If you're not competing, and just attending I'd probably stay in Seattle if you plan on doing anything other than the comp - there's not much to do in Issaquah. You could also stay in Bellevue if you want to stay on the East side.

Ok thanks bro I'll have to check out availablity. Do you know if there is an after party or anything like that? I remember one year headed downtown Seattle to some club where a lot of people from the show were it was pretty fun.
