Anyone else here have cholinergic urticaria?

pretty sure it's what i just got out of nowhere withint the last few weeks

my entire body is overecome with this intense prickly/itchy sensation whenever i heat up slightly or get anxious or something

i had it mildly a few years ago in high school and it made me quit sports as it was extremely uncomfortable out in the sun

but it suddenly came back much worse and i have no idea why
it's to the point where i can barely walk outside during the day
and i have anxiety in public anyway, so i pretty much had to stay inside over the past few weeks

a few variables changed that coincided with its onset
i was smoking at the time it started, had only been for about a month and quit a few weeks ago,
i was on pretty high doses of oral steroids for about a month without liver support
i moved into a new apartment and am using an old mattress


just wondering if any of you have ever dealt with this

I feel your pain. I had it for several weeks, out of the blue, a few years ago.

I went and had a food allergy blood test done, with fairly surprising results. It turns out that I was highly allergic/reactive to coconut, and I had recently been using coconut water in my peri-workout drinks. So I dropped all coconut products from my diet and the urticaria cleared up almost instantly.

If you're able to get some allergy tests done, both blood and environmental, it may help pinpoint your triggers. The old mattress is a likely suspect and you may want to get a hypoallergenic cover or something in the mean time.
