Figured I’d throw this out there and see if anyone else here deals with complex PTSD.
It’s not the same as the regular PTSD you usually hear about. It comes from longterm trauma usually growing up in a messed up environment or always being in survival mode. It doesn’t hit all at once like a single trauma does. It kind of wires you a certain way.
I’ve been learning a lot about it lately and working through it in therapy. PIt’s helped, but it’s not easy. Some days I feel like I’m making real progress, other days it’s like starting from zero again.
It shows up for me in relationships, parenting, trust issues, self-worth, even how I handle stress in training or business.
I wanted to start this thread for anyone else going through it to talk about what’s worked, what hasn’t, how you deal when the old stuff creeps back up, and what helps you stay grounded.
I think a lot more people deal with this than we realize.
Anyone else been through it or working on it?
