hammers are one of my favorite bicep exercises and for me put the least amount of strain on my biceps but for some reason they wreack havoc on my wrists... especially if i get up into the 70lbs+ dumbells...
could be the weight distribution on the position of the hand and wrist on the hammer curl and the motion might be causing it.. try different grips.. i know for me the best grip is when the top of my hand rests under the side of the dumbbell. if my hand is i the middle of the handle with space on both sides... bad news for my wrists...
