The tegmen bone is the thin layer of bone separating the tympanic antrum from the cranial cavity. I've been having a sound in my ear and a sensation that feels like it needs to pop pretty much all of the time, I can hear my heartbeat in that ear when my heart rate gets high also and its been like that for 2.5 years so i went to an ent and she did all of the tests and then sent me to get a CAT scan and they are saying that the tegmen bone is severly thinned and thats what is causing my problems and that it could have been thin all along and weightlifting could have made it worse. Anyone ever heard of this or know how it can be fixed?
