Had my nose broken in a travel accident and it didn't heal back to how it used to look so I had mine touched up, and by touched up almost totally redone as it changed quite a bit after the accident. I looked like a freak, the black eyes and the nose had an awkward swollen appearance makin me look half human half lion or something but pain wise it was very minor for me. I didn't even take the painkillers I was given, didn't need them and I'll freely admit I pussy up big time when I'm sick or injured so I usually am all over painkillers if I even slightly need them. The worst was getting the stitches out and that stung for a minute or so and that process was done otherwise it's just an annoyance, having to sleep on my back since Im used to sleeping on my stomach/side, trying not to have it touched, you'd be surprised how often you graze it by mistake, that you feel. Recovery wise there isn't much you can do but wait it out, I was given some supplement pills that were supposed to help but idk if they did or not, I can try to find the bottle if you want the name, my cousin got his done for "deviated septum" reasons, he never took the pills and healed just as well. I was told not to exert myself but that after 2 weeks if I must I could go in and get in a light sweat, so i'd get a pump and that was about it, really light weight by a month I was lifting decent weights but still not all out, by 6 weeks I was back to normal. Didn't backtrack in my fitness goals much if at all.
