Im posting this with the hope of any feedback ..helpful information or knowledge of anyone who may have had to deal with this or know someone who has . A little background about myself I've been lifting for 17 years deticated....dietary is on point ..single digit body fat most of the year and on trt for 9 years ...i didn't do my first cycle til i was 38. I've run pretty much everything including Hgh . Get bloods 4 times a year and really stay on top of everything. Recently had bloodwork done and TSH an T4 were out of range and haven't been on Hgh...Endocrinologist sent me for a scan and a suspicious nodule was discovered . Cancer took my Mom young and got me concerned ..had a biopsy and was negative but Endocrinologist had me consult with a Head and neck surgeon and hes recommended a partial or Total Thyroidectomy. He says better to be safe as it can lead to cancer..Had a second opinion and also agreed to at least do partial removal .
So my biggest concern of course is to stay healthy and be there for my wife ..Kids and so fourth ..If i have the surgery i will be out of action for a while and then the possibility of hormone replacement
Please no bashing ..i was told afterwards id be able to continue trt but my days of HGH are done ...not to sound stupid but once all is said and done will i be able to run cycles again ?? For example certain compounds
Primo
Mast
Npp
If anyone has been through this or know anyone who has any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Hoping for positive feedback please
I had my thyroid removed in 2005. 2 benign nodules and a goiter. No changes in bloodwork it was perfect. All biopsies were negative. I was sitting in a parking lot and was adjusting my neck and felt a lump on my left side. Immediately scheduled an appointment with my doc. Originally told me I had mono as my epstein barr levels were super elevated. CT scans revealed the enlarged thyroid and goiter. Had a biopsy and it indicated thyroid tissue. Surgeon told me it was metastatic while in recovery. I still want to punch him in the face to this day. Ended up scaring the shit out of me telling me they had no idea how to get it out as I had a 22 inch neck and was 310 lbs. Said they would have to break up my chest to get it out. Luckily I was able to get into one of the top endocrinologists at DUKE. He immediately did an ultrasound and told me that thyroid cancer was rare and the biopsy was indeed thyroid tissue. However the biopsy lacked any lymphatic tissue so he said they had simply biopsied my thyroid tissue from one of the enlarged nodules. The hard part was they had no idea what to do with a bodybuilder as all my blood levels were normal but H and H. So they bleed me down to 48 from 55 telling me it was a risk for excessive bleeding. Delayed surgery for 2 months until things were stable. Surgery went well. Was worried that they would damage vocal cords and or parathyroid glands and have terrible pain due to the removal. But doctor was perfect in the technique. They did injure my back during surgery. I didn't figure it out until later but they dropped me pretty hard on the table prior to surgery. I could barely walk when released by the hospital. No pain in the neck area though.
This is when the fun begins. They started me on 175mcg T4. Several months later I snapped my patella tendon slipping on a stair. While in the hospital my tsh was 50!
My medicine wasn't converting. Then went on two year journey chasing the perfect dose which ended up being 400 mcg synthroid. These days I am on 336 mg of tirosint a gel cap with T4. It lacks the binders and fillers synthroid has so it converts much better.
During my recovery of my knee surgery I went extremely hypothyroid. Hair falling out dry skin just miserable. Lost 32 lbs. Funny thing is once I got my thyroid levels optimized I gained 40 solid lbs back. I did have to get 50 millicures of radioactive iodine to kill the last bit of thyroid removed that they couldn't cut out. Doc said later in life it could turn to thyroid cancer. I also went through a couple of total body thyroid tissue scans for 3 years but all was clean and given a clean bill.
I stopped preparing for contests in 2005. Knee healed stronger than before bit had a nice scar. Enough to keep me off stage.
Thyroid replacement is different than having an actual thyroid with natural hormones T4 T3 T2 and T1. I have dieted several times since then and was suprised to lose 50 fucking pounds with no changes to cardio or training just 3000 clean calories a day.
I think T4 enhances the results of glps. When I started on retatrutide I quickly lost 20 lbs in 2 weeks. Had all the signs and symptoms of hyperthyroidism. I dropped my dose down to 226 mcg a day and everything returned to normal. I am not trying to scare others but thyroid problems run in my family and I think GH caused the extreme enlargement was caused by the use. I waited to start insulin and GH until my 30th birth day I had stagnated at 285 on standard cycling and started on the GH with serostim. I eventually settled on a every third day dosing of 30 ius.
This was done to minimize sides as daily and EOD dosing gave me terrible sides. I gained 40 lbs over that year and 20 never left.
Genetic enlargement for me the doc told me that if I used T4 during that time it would have prevented the enlargement.
My mom and both my aunts had their thyroid partially removed and have been miserable.
Docs wouldn't give them any additional meds to help. I would recommend total thyroid removal just to alleviate any fears of cancer later in life.
The good news is that you can and will lead a productive life it just sucks taking a pill everyday to convert to ensure well-being.
I stopped GH for a long time but recently started back for longevity around 15 iu a week. Any questions just ask. Looking back the most difficult thing back then was missing meals and training for tests and scans. In the end it all worked out for the best and am sure the medical advances in treatment will be far and above what I had in 2005.
Take care.
