Anyone here get migraines?

i get them only a few times a year. 5-15 a month, i would rather just die.
how can you deal with the immobilizing agony that often?
damn, vomiting, you're lucky. i get gastric stasis, whatever ive eaten before or the little i eat during stays in my stomach. liquids....hurts like a fucker havin yr stomach extended all day/night. ive forced myself to throw up many times cuz it will not leave the stomach any other way. forced vomiting with the dizzying excruciating headache. what a combo. i truly am amazed peeps can have multiples in a month and still keep functioning. how y'all do that, i cant understand.

Last month I missed about 5 days of work due to migraines and vomiting....first comes the migraines...than comes vomiting all the contents of my stomach...solids...liquids...basically until I throw up bile...than comes a dehydration headache which incant do anything about until my stomach calms down....knowing water and electrolytes will help but also knowif that anything taken in will cause me to vomit is a real bitch. Cutting out wheat, gluten and dairy has helped....as well as staying hydrated as much as possible (2-3 gatorades or powerade pre training and the same post wo seems to help) but I Average an "episode" once very 2-5 weeks still....eating junk (subway, or just breads and cheeses in general) can cause several attacks per week. I actually was so severely dehydrated one week from throwing up for 2 days that if I wouldn't have started drinking fluids after about 48 hrs of vomiting....well..according to my Doc I was a few hrs from not ever posting on PM....or any board....my new insurance kicks in may 1....I may have to go to a neurologist (sp?) my family doc is dumbfounded

i took the zpack antibiotic for 5 days and havent had a single migraine since.... !!!! :welcome:

I don't know if this has been asked yet but how often do you consume artifical sweeteners? That's what triggers mine.

I've got the migraine crisis 86 days in a row,nonstop..everyday I had to take the nasal spray medicine called "imigran" and it costs about $11 here in turkey, the health insurance doesn't cover it...the worst thing about it it makes awful angry, whenever I got it I always get soo quick-tempered + the roid rage...anyway I went to neurologist and he prescribed me a medicine called sandomigran, I'm taking it for the last 6 months 3 times a day..it's a medicine to prevent the migraine crisis, after 2 weeks of taking this medicine my crisis totally stopped..oh god I was a new born person, the bad thing after quitting this medicine the crisis may start all over again so I don't have the courage to stop taking them for now, but I will since I cannot use them forever.

I've had them my whole life. I take 2 Fiorinal with Codeine when I feel one coming on. Works great. Oh, and I have found that I have a lot fewer when I eliminate the triggers such as alcohol, stress, etc.
