amount of sodium in the weight of himilayan salt

a gram of any substance that exists anywhere on earth will weigh a GRAM. a milligram weighs a mg, a pound weighs a pound, etc.

i believe what you are looking for is how much of that gram of salt is sodium? well thats another misconception, the usage of the term sodium to mean 'salt'

a salt by definition is any group I or group II metal with a halogen. sodium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium fluoride, potassium iodide, calcium bromide, lithium iodide, etc......

since sodium chloride is salt, 1g of sodium chloride is 1g of salt. if you are looking for the amount of actual sodium (metal), it will not be 1g, but it is unimportant because sodium bound to chloride is salt, if unbound there is no longer salt

himalayan salt may be a combination of sodium chloride and some other items, so maybe 1g has 800mg of sodium chloride - thats just an an example i have no idea whats in it. potassium chloride is also common in some salt products

you knew what i was saying, thats exactly the number i was thionking 800 in a gram , it has 82 other elemnts

what has 82 other elements? the himalayan salt? thats unlikely because there would HAVE TO BE toxic and radioactive elements in there. there are only 88 naturally occurring elements (people like to 92, but that is false - elements 43, 61, 85 and 87 have no stable isotopes, and have short half-lives, so they are not naturally present). so your substance somehow magically contains virtually EVERY element. i didn't even bother to mention man made elements because the idea they they are somehow present in himalayan salt is nonsense.

by the way that 800 was purely a made up amount to demonstrate what i was talking about

now let me ask you a doozy! Whats heavier: a ton of LEAD or a ton of feathers!

If you believe a website dedicated to it:

"Original Himalayan Crystal Salt Elements

100% Pure - Contains 84 "natural" elements needed by the body:

hydrogen, lithium, beryllium, boron, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, fluoride, sodium, magnesium, aluminum, silicum, phosphorus, sulfur, chloride, calcium, scandium, titanium, vanadium, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, gallium, germanium, arsenic, selenium, bromine, rubidium, strontium, yttrium, zirconium, niobium, molybdenum, ruthenium, rhodium palladium, silver, cadmium, indium, tin, antimony, tellurium, iodine, cesium, barium, lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, lutetium, hafnium, tantalum, tungsten, rhenium, osmium, iridium, platinum, gold, mercury, thallium, lead, bismuth, polonium, astatine, francium, radium, actinium, thorium, protactinium, uranium, neptunium and plutonium."

yuo have to read carfully guys, amount of Sodium in the himilay salt, not the weight of the himilay salt

ya i can read you made up that amount, it was a good guesss is what i was saying, thats about what i would have estimeated as well, yes theres a ttoal of 82 trace elements in it, considered some dam good healthy salt
