The time is coming soon where we will be voting for president here in the US. Anyone know of a candidate that is more understanding of the supplement industry? I was liking Joe Biden until tonight I saw a post where someone claimed he was the original congressman that started the big push to fight steroids. Anyone heard the same about Biden?

Is ANYONE bodybuilder friendly? Im starting to wonder.

Yeah, even Arnold has turned his back on us I think. Got to someone out there that is at least indifferent, and is for less government involvement in this. Got to find the lesser of evils. One of the candidates has to be better than the others in some respect concerning this.

Ron Paul

The IRS played a role in this latest bust and Ron Paul will eliminate the IRS. Also he is for a non interventionalist foreign policy so America will just worry about itself and not try to police the world. He is for smaller government in general so he would definately be the most pro steroid candidate. Ron Paul will get rid of the un-constitutional federal income tax so you will have extra money to spend on gear also.

havent heard of him before. Which party? I dont think he is a forerunner is he? One has to really vote for one of the forerunners to have any impact in my opinion. Otherwise it just seems like youre throwing away your vote.

just looked up his site

found this, looks pretty good if its true:

"Brief Overview of Congressman Paul’s Record:

He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress"

Ron Paul (Republican Representative Texas) has the most progressive position in this field. He is basically a libertarian on drug policy. Here is a summary of his positions.

Voted NO on subjecting federal employees to random drug tests. (Sep 1998)
War on Drugs has abused Bill of Rights . (Dec 2000)
Legalize medical marijuana. (Jul 2001)
Rated A by VOTE-HEMP, indicating a pro-hemp voting record. (Dec 2003)

He has written a couple position papers back in the early 90's seeking the legalization of drugs.

He is most certainly a forerunner

The media is really worried about this guy! They are trying to marginalize him and act like he is some obscure candidate. The news is trying not to show him. Search him on youtube, he can definately be the next president. He has killed the other candidates in every debate. Search him on youtube and you will be impressed. He is not like any other politician. He is not for sale and he actually cares about the constitution. He has tons of support just not from the corrupt media.

Ron Paul is the one for sure. anyway..to me the gear/BB issure is an easy thing for most americans to get behind. seeing how many are so overweight and inactive its strange to them to think anyone wants big muscles.
i found my way back here when one of the big boards abruptly vanished recently.
:s:ar-wars

as long as the media presents this sport the way it has been there will never be a prez that will do a thing. It has more to do woth public perception.

holy crap, i am actually excited about politics now

Sure am glad I asked this question tonight. I have discovered a new hope. I will look into him more and watch some vids. I hope some others out there have viewed this thread and will consider him now. He sounds like just what this country needs. Only issue I saw that i disagreed with him on was right to life. He is a big supporter of that it said on his site.

He doesnt have to say anything about BBers, he has a stance on drugs in general.

Seriously, Ron Paul is the fucking man. He says hes a conservative, but in the true sense of the word where people make their own decisions and the government limits in what they can do.

Hes very much a libertarian and I love it. If you really want someone who is up for individual liberty, vote for Ron Paul. Search for him on youtube if you wanna know more and make sure you REGISTER TO VOTE!!!!! Seriously, if you can go to a primary in your state, vote for Ron Paul.

id say Ron will be a bifgworry for the neo-cons. hes the only republican that differs on so many things with the rest. lettting him show this may make the people see something aint right here.

BUMP, well said!

He is honest

When you start to learn about Ron Paul you get the impression that he has never told a lie or done anything dishonest in his entire life. He is someone to get excited about for sure. He was an OBGYN and has delivered over 4000 babies in his life. He has never voted for anything that was unconstitutional. He makes the other candidates look like shit compared to him.

Back in the early 90's the ATF was terrorizing the gun owners of America. They behaved much like the DEA is today, arrogant and not afraid to stomp on peoples rights.

During the elections of '94 some candidates were calling for the elimination of the ATF as a federal agency. They didn't succeed but a few congressional oversights, and suddenly the ATF cooled their jets real fast and stopped harassing and behaving in an arrogant fashion. They realized their behavior was about ready to put them out of the job, maybe in criminal court.

People on this board who live in the states with early elections need to realize that they can have a huge impact on this.

Simply, a strong showing at the polls of an anti-war on drugs attitude, has sway on bureaucrats. Even the ones that may be reading this board as we speak. They need to realize that they are one election away from being out of the job, or perhaps prosecuted themselves for violations of civil rights.

Check this out, the DEA is like the IRS back in the old days:

Notice how Ron Paul is mentioned in the article.

Seriously, get up and vote people. If you dont know how to go about it, just ask. Its not hard, and very much worth it.

The problem is, US is not a monarchy, theres still the Congress to deal with. And if the Congress disagrees with what Ron Paul has to say on a regular basis, (and it will), he will be impeached. It takes a lot more than just one man to go against the system, IMHO.

The good news is that Ron Paul stands up for liberties and common sense. Who wants to be the congressman that votes to keep taxes high?

You dont get impeached for disagreeing, you get impeached for breaking a law as a president.

Yous are making me fell like shit i dont even know who the candidates are.I have kinda giving up on voting. I guess it is partly my falt that we are in this spot with the gov.I guess its time to stop sleeping on my rights and get on it.
