I think it's called a "vacuum" LOL;) :D

This is Rusty Jeffers he's competing in the IM this weekend and over 40 years old definitely old school and believes in preserving the classic physique.

Don't lose your waist line fellas.

Awesome. Im sure he wont get his just due's but from a fan perspective thats incredible.

Yeah, that's the vacuum pose. Arnold did it but Frank Zane was the master of this pose.

I think it looks better when the waist isn't so WIDE as Rusty's is, but it does show that he's pretty lean either way.

I see Rusty at night at my gym and every now and then I will just briefly talk to the guy. Super cool dude for sure. I saw he weighed 240 at this years IM.

Maybe Im not classic enough But I Just dont care for the vacuum Pose.
Id Rather see the Abs that look they were carved in with a Knife.
Im Sure Rusty has that as well and the guy looks amazing...Im just not a fan of that Sucking in pose I guess.

I'll have to agree with Ajjin not a fan of that look cerrently old school. but that pose just makes them look disproportionate
I can feel more of a kinship to the ronny coleman look.

I don't like it either it's just cool to see in todays guys.

I got a pic of of me at around 275 doing a vacuum in a double biceps pose in the progress pics I used to take. This was long before I knew what GH and slin were.

Lemme see if I can find it and scan it.

That's sensational. I love the vacuum pose.

I think that's cool. I have not seen a modern bodybuilder do that pose.

I like the vacuum pose as well; Arnold was a huge advocate of performing vacuums to keep the waist from bulging. For those who don't like it, I suppose a nice round belly like Ronnie's (where he's obviously lean but from the side his stomach protrudes as far out as his pec's), looks more appealing??? Those with GH/IGF guts could have greatly benefited from the vacuum!

STEEDA~

The Vacuum is a classic an should always be a part of your training not only does it help with abs but it increases your endurance to a great degree.
Which helps when your trying to tone up.

Great for the Abs.

U may not like the pose but vacumes are a great exercise for the transverse abdominals. U Breathe out all the air in your lungs while bent over and hold it for as long as possible. Do multiple reps, anytime, even sitting in front of the TV. Will result in a concave look to the waist. Keep pumpin.
