back when i use to lift ed but alternate upper and lower, i believe i was the strongest ever, my sqaut had got up to 450, i train simi to the big a way now, trying to achieve the size if this is the way, but my strength hasnt shown now? so is it so that even thoe your getting stronger, lifting more weight ect, ya still wont get the muslce size compared to the big a style? it just sometimes seems contradicting but im not knocking science,

strength and hypertrophy are two different pursuits. jsut as powerlifting and bodybuilding are two different sports.

No i'm getting stronger and bigger by my 3X week routine vs my old 5x week routine. I couldnt even imagine the muscle exhaustion from everyday.

Used to train biceps EOD then took it down to twice a week F and Su...saw a major decrease in the "badassness" of my biceps/arms in general.. everyone told me to just train them once a week so I went down to that. Did not see shiznit for results. so now I train bout 2-3 times a week and see good results..

other body parts are different tho..mostly train them once a week.

Im not sure of your exact routine but I will tell you that there is a big difference in the two.

Practicing lifts more often allows for a better neurologic adaptation (both in coordination and efficiency). Big A's routine will allow for proper rest periods but the neurologic/chemical adaptations one would get from frequent lifting is simply not there. Without knowing your exact routine I cant comment on the rest. But this touches on why you're strength gains are better.

In my experience, I have trained a an exercise 7 times a week (varying intensities and exercises) for powerlifting. I will say that I got strong, but I never have gained the size that I got from DC or Phil's routine...

i would definitely get burned out going every day. you grow when your resting not when your training!

Ive tried several different kinds of programs some simular to Big As. The only thing I have yet to try is DC. So far I have had no real strenght gains on any, but my current is 2 on 1 off 2 on 2 off back, arms, legs then chest and sholders. This has given me my biggest gains size wise.

Sure wish I could say yes about getting stronger daily. I feel strange being as big as I am, but not having the stranght to match.

Daily training for size and or strength is not a good idea. Without even looking at the science just look at the empirical evidence (so I don't have to type as much :D )

bodybuilders and powerlifters do not train this way. Strong men competitors do not train this way. Even long distance goobers take a day or 2 off usually and they are the only ones who scientifically could train this way.

When you damage cells like bodybuilders and strength trainers do you need to heal and rebuild tissue so this is not the optimal way to train (hence why the best in the world DO NOT train that way.) For cardio trainers this could work b/c they just need to replace glycogen and remove a little lactic acid which can be done easily by eating and sleeping at night. "Properly" torn cells can take up to 5 days to recoup with 2-3 days being normal.

2 on 1 off (or 2 on 1 off, 2 on 2 off) seems to be the best all the way around. Unless training DC style as then 1 on 1 off would work too but you need to heal and rest, very important
