Anyone still eating canned tuna?

I was on a strict diet a long time ago and tuna was one of the core foods in the diet. And after about 2 wks I became extremely sick it was like food poisoning or something to that effect, I thought it was just the Flu so I came off the diet for about a wk until I felt better and jumped back on the diet and in only a wk I was very sick again have not had much tuna in my diet since. Now I just cook fish ect.
 
everything in moderation. nothing wrong with a half dozen cans of tuna a week.
 
I still keep it as a staple of my diet. It seems to be cyclical with me, I really enjoy it for awhile then get really sick of it and stay away for a bit.
 
I don't eat tuna from the tin can I always bye starkist tuna in sunflower oil in the Pouch its ten time more fresher then the can Yummy :D

is the tuna from the pouch much different to the can stuff?
 
Don't think that pouch tune differs greatly from can one.
I usually use few cans a week and don't think about mercury at all. All our food is poisonous enough and i think that our our body adopts our conditions and food.

I feel like they started putting in scraps in the cans when the pouches came out. Not much of a difference. The different flavors are nice though.

The only difference between the cans and pouches is the price. Pouches are considerably more expensive. Just another way the companies thought up to increase their profits.

One thing I noticed about the cholesterol content of tuna. All brands would list the cholesterol content the same for a 5 oz. can, about 50mg. per can. I recently bought some Chicken of the Sea tuna and they list the cholesterol content at only 20 mg. per can. If this is true then a can of tuna would have the lowest cholesterol content per 4oz. serving of any natural protein source. Isolate whey protein powder has little or no cholesterol. Chicken of the Sea is a major company, so lets hope they are right. Because eating 200 to 300 grams of protein a day is a fast track to a heart attack.

You don't need to worry about dietary cholesterol. So no, it's not a fast track to a heart attack.
 
Mixed with grapeseed oil vegenaise instead of mayo and some chopped celery with some toasted Ezekiel bread. Delicious!

I've read that dietary holestarol doesn't have direct influence of on heart attack. The interconnection is much deeper, and fsimply protecin conteining food is not on the first place in increasing holesterol.
