Anyone still use DMSO for joint pain?

I use DMSO as a penetration enhancer for a basic Walmart pain cream. Rub some DMSO on the skin first then rub in the pain cream. It works better if I use DMSO than without.

I've also just mixed the two into a container and that works well too. About 3:1 pain cream to DMSO.

It smells to bad and can cause the user to stink. Much better options out there like volatren gel.

If you use 99% pure pharmaceutical grade it doesn't stink. Or cause bad breath longer than a few min.

I've been using it for its anti inflammatory purposes in muscles. It seems to be working.

PLO gel is a proven effective transdermal carrier that does not have the smelly side effects that DMSO has.

I use DMSO whenever the need arises. Been doing so for 30 years. I used to mix it with aspercreme but now mix it with Blue Emu.

Not much of a down side to try it short term to see if it works. But if there is real damage then i doubt it will make a big impact.

Haven't used it in years but have a five or so year old bottle ,could use with tiger balm, or something like that when tendon pain. Some people have been using it with magnesium powder and even cannabis.

If used in concentrated form over a significant area, yes it can, but used in lower concentrations as a penetration enhancer, like mixed with Aspercreme or Ben Gay, I haven't found this to be the case. My wife uses the formulation I make of salicylate pain cream + hydrocortisone + DMSO (roughly 1:1:1) and I've never smelled it on her or her breath.

DMSO that is OLD school I still don’t rule it out, when in need.
Most BBing or Athletes has advanced to a knew technics
