Anyone use Neurontin

Neurontin (Gabapentin)

Its a long acting highly bioavailable form of the neurotransmitter GABA. Is used to like to use GABA for a series of benefit to bodybuilding.Has any one used the prescription form Neurontin and seen positive results?
It would seem that this medication would elevate endogenious HGH levels, increase metabolism and have all sorts of postive effects on Neutranmiters, Mind to -muscle connection and overall mental performance.
Any thoughts?

Your question was interesting. I found out thorugh some research that although Neurontin (gabapentin) looks like GABA, it doesn't act like GABA anywhere exceot n the central nervous system. So, it wouldn't help us BBers at all.

u dont feel that supplementing with something that helps ure CNS will help a BBR???
i kno from experience, supp'n with GABA helps me greatly with my sleep and thru my day with feeling rested, and when slingin HEAVY weights, it gets rid of that shaking that occurs

I have had it...

It is prescribed for pain patients (associated with nerves) and epileptic patients. (Seizures) It mostly made me feel real laid back and "stoned" actually. I really do not see it as a positive addition to your regime for making gains however.

I kind of overstated there. Thanks for catching. It could help with sleep and things like that. So, it can help in that way. Thanks for pointing out the error.

I take neurontin for nerve pain associated with back problems..

I wish it did affect bodybuilding in a positive way but I just dont seeing it do anything for me except make me tired..
