I like to add them straight to my protein shakes as well for the added carbs I do this 1 or 2 per day usually breakfast and lunch. I do not like to have too many carbs late in the day.
I have Them raw in my shakes quite often, there filling the only bad thing is if u leave it sitting to long non blended shake it'll thicken do bad u pretty much have to eat it instead of drinking
Heard someone say it helps for water retention or something like that but not sure if there is truth to it.**broken link removed** **broken link removed** Tera Account
Oats have lots of soluble as well as insoluble fiber.
I was under the impression that the soluble fibers are only utilized when the oats are cooked.
I might be wrong, but that's the reason I always cook them.
FWIW I don't think any of you are eating raw oats.
Here's tip. Put one of them in a wet paper towel and fold up the paper towel. Come back the next day and see if it has sprouted. If it has, tell me to stfu. If it hasn't it means you are not eating raw oats so stfu.
after reading about them raw.i put them in a blender to grind up some.added
whey, one banana, one cup milk one tablespoon raw honey blended it all up
raw this time let it sit in the fridge overnight.gotta tell ya that is a tasty breakfast.
i also realized that the nutrients will be saved if not cooked if any are lost from crooking.so im gettin whole food at its best.im gonna eat this as a morming breakfast as much as possible.gets me charged up for any activity.
