I eat my oats uncooked all the time, I just chew the hell out of them till they are mush.

Heard someone say it helps for water retention or something like that but not sure if there is truth to it.

I'll mix a cup of oats in my protein shake for some carbs. If I drink it instantly I just have some chewing to do, if you let it chill in the fridge for a bit it's totally drinkable.

I through a cup of oatmeal in the blender with a dozen egg whites or my protein first thing in the morning

People actually still cook their oats? What a strange world we live in :)

Cooking usually quickens the digestion of grains and vegetables. So raw could be a plus depending on your goals.

Cooked oats take me forever to eat even use spray butter and cinnamon. Definetly just gonna blend them and drink from now on

same here... blended with egg whites, whey, peanut butter, and cinnamon... few raw egg yolks!

Didnt realise other people eat them raw, everyone thinks im strange for not cooking them. Glad its ok though

Str8 uncooked in my shakes also

haha....we are the only "chewers" in this crowd :D :p

Cant stand them in shakes, make me want to heave. In a bowl with some banana I could eat all day

What's next, raw grits....

I tried raw oatmeal once in my protein. It gave me a serious buzz.. Or was it a headache??? Either way, I will never try it again. It tastes much better to me cooked with raisins.

I've been eating raw oats in milk like cereal for a while now and I haven't had any problems, other than the increased amount of poop from the fiber.
