?Arimidex dosage for women?

I'm friends with an IFBB fitness pro who's name I shall keep anonymous.

She is three weeks out from the Arnold.

She is going to begin arimidex for these last few weeks. I know for a man 1mg per day is plenty. What would the dose be for a women? .5 mg?

Arimidex wont do anything for her.
Arimidex stops the test from converting to estrogen.
Use nolvadex and/or proviron... works wonders

intersting, I would think if she was an ifbb pro she would have figured this out by now? as stated above use nolva or prov.

Arimidex stops the body from making estrogen.It works great for females and most fitness girls use it.
I think they use too much,I would start her with .5 every 3rd day.

Thanks big..... these other members who say arimidex won't do anything for a womens show physique need to re-educate themselves.

She is using low doses of proviron in combination with arimidex. I tend to agree that .5mg would be better than 1mg.

Using estrogen blockers in a women is great way to screw their system up for sure. Seen it happen to someone very close to me. You can count on a long period of time (perhaps a year) for your friend having major hormonal issues, breaking out, and becoming emotional wreck. I would not reccommend this for women. Big price to pay for such a small return. Don't mean to sound so negative, just have first hand experience with seeing this go bad in someone very close to me.

Yes, I understand there are sides to be had from playing with hormones. And she understands as well I believe. But she is no stranger to arimidex as she ran this with proviron about a year ago for her last major competition. I believe she had a low incidence of sides when recovering. I can only hope she stays healthy and experiences minimal sides. She's an adult... so her choice.

But look at us competitive bodybuilders...... there are plenty of sides to be had from what we use. Mood swings, hormonal shutdown, sexual highs and lows, kidney stress, liver stress, blood lipid changes, high bp......... I mean we all try to curtail these sides to varying degrees of success but we still run into problems on occasion.

P.S. Arimidex is not a estrogen blocker but rather a estrogen inhibitor.
I'm sure you know this already but just thought I'd clarify

,5 is plenty, Gavin helped my wife out with a plan and this is the amount he told her. She will love it and the short time she will be using it WILL NOT mess anything up with her system at all. GOOD LUCK

I haven't researched this. But. Arimidex deactivates the conversion of testosterone to estrogen. In males, pretty much all estrogen comes from testosterone so arimidex does reduce estrogen drastically. In females though, testosterone production is minimal, so inhibiting the enzyme that converts what little amount is produced to estrogen seems pointless. I simply do not get it.

by taking .5 a day for that short time she will be much tighter no ifs ands or buts about it. Yes it could mess with her female cycle but so will heavy training and any other drugs she may be taking if she is using any other item. For a couple weeks at .5 she will be fine.

Grunt, remember that in women all oestrogens are produced from androgens. Arimidex inhibits the aromatase of androstenedione and testosterone into oestrone and oestradiol.
