Arrests in China?

Rumor on the EF board has it that at least 3 well known powder sources have been arrested in China, in collaboration with US agencies. Apparently there is little info on this at the moment.
NOTE: as far as i am aware this is only rumor at the moment.

Does anyone have any information?

this would not surprise me. Feds can read too!! but i dunno if it's true. With the US and china in trade talks and other fun stuff I'd say it's part of china's ploy to sweeten things up between the two countries. A little co-operation opens up a lot of doors. it may be legal in china to manufacture powders but shipping and packageing is where there'll be trouble.

Wouldnt surprize me either, China gets away with alot of stuff over there. But US has been at their shipping docs since I think 911, and the US must ok everything that gets shipped out of china, reguardless of the chinese government, this I know for a fact.

I don't want to question you BUT what do you mean that the US has to ok everything that China ships out. As an independent, sovereign state and the only other super power I highly doubt China has to run anything by the US that it ships out. I don't know what specifically you are referring to but the there is no way the US could force their will on the Chinese and say you know what we are inspecting and oking everything that ships out of your country. The Chinese aren'y are ally and we have a very volatile relationship with the Chinese government. Could you please be more specific as to what exactly you are talking about so I may better understand you.

Interesting......yes, believeable..............yes. I don't know about the oking everything before it gets sent out, I'd say there's a gentlemans' agreement in play if this is true!!! We do not know yet. But i would hold up on biz w/china for the moment. I mentioned that what they do in china is not illegal. But pushing shit out the back door with incorrect papers is another. Nuff said??

Maybe not in the usual sense. But rather a very loose agreement between China 5-0 and Fda. I'd say it may have more to do with their end rather than yours. We still do not know for sure.

Very unlikely. But there is some strange going ons there lately.

I would say, IMO, that China is a little warmer than before - not hot mind you, but getting a little warm. Maybe the powers in China have made it known that they will frown upon shipments to the "Land of the Free", lol...

Best option is to find a remailer in another "less free" country... Strange that the most "free" country in the world has the most laws as well? Go figure
