At Home Sleep Study

A sleep clinic near me now offers at home studies in lieu of on site but they're way more expensive than some of the products listed off google.
Are there any at home products ordered online that are up to standard? Lofta, cpapmyway, etc.?

I just called a Sleep Medicine company here in Ohio and the Dr. said the at-home sleep studies are a waste of time and the info may not be valid. He said he could give me something to help me sleep so I schedule the study. It's going to suck but I would do anything to sleep better and feel better.

I tried to sleep at their site but couldnt sleep worth shit and the study was pretty much worthless IMO. I wish I could have done it at home. At home wouldnt be good though if they dont have the same instruments measuring your vitals during sleep.

Weird he would say that.
The VAST majority of sleep studies are at home now. Probably 80% of em and that's a TON with all the people having sleep apnea now. Its not just a strongman/lifter thing anymore, tons of men and woman have..(mostly due to being overweight as hellll)

Both times i got sleep studies done, and both at home, the doctor brought in 5-8 people to explain what apnea was and how to do the sleep test. Soo many people that they have to brief like 5+ haha. Thats insane.

I bypassed them all and bought my own CPAP, I didn't need a guy in a white coat telling me I had restrictive snoring and some apnea.

I did a split sleep study back on April. Last one was in 2009 and have been using a CPAP ever since.

Without CPAP I averaged 57 breathing events an hour. Basically one a minute. With CPAP only 2 breathing events per hour.

This follow up sleep study was to see if I'm a candidate for the Inspire implant which I am.

Just got the results back from my at home sleep study ten minutes ago. On a scale of 0-40 on an event index, 30 being considered severe apnea, I came in at 27.7. So very near severe. This number goes up to 34.4 if I’m laying on my back. 15 apnea’s and 104 hypopneas. Out of 3280 breaths I snored 982 times(my poor wife) LOL. Looks like I’m getting a machine
