35. Took a couple docs till I found one who would finally listen to me. Been a lifesaver. Thank god for docs who are willing to listen to their patients and not spout off bullshit they know nothing about.
34. I'm 45 now. I put myself on it after going to a doc (Europe) and asking about it. He told me, smiling, "Yeah, that's the fad in the US these days, right?"
Good doc actually, they just get no training in it. He told me that if I do take test I should get more regular bloods and check ups and he'd schedule me more often.
Far fewer prejudices here about gear. Just no knowledge of how to prescribe.
Age 30 is when i started. Was going to my doc at 27 but he wouldn't prescribe it till i was 30. Think that's standard age physicians feel comfortable prescribing test.
