I would take this very seriously if you have an infant child that you have been feeding them rice food products.

This Consumer Reports article is a few years old, tho it doesn't speak on the specific of this particular case. I'm not sure which brands were tested in the first link I posted.

I would suspect that will surface before long of which brands showed the higher levels of inorganic arsenic.

Thanks for posting this!! Our little one is just starting to eat foods. Good think I bought oat based cereal as well, I guess I'll toss the rice based cereal in the trash for now till I get a better understanding on this.

Good post Stewie, we came across this info after our first child but before our second so never fed any consumer rice products or anything non organic as well.

Love some legit grits. Cream of rice reminds me a little of cream of wheat. I usually eat a bowl every day with some peanut butter stirred in.

So its a sweeter thing? Not sure if that makes sense. What I mean is that with grits - I would only add butter and salt / pepper. I do have some coonass family that add sugar to their grits - but that is not my thing.
I don't even like coush coush.

Like everyone on this board, we want to ensure our children have the best of the best including what they consume, posts like this by stewie is heads up and of some of dangers of what were eating.

I l know I will always miss things in labels/foods, but I always try to make a informed decision.

There's just SO much intel out there that one could read medical literature's like this one and you will never be ahead.

Not really too sweet. It's hard for me to comment on taste as I usually overwhelm it with peanut butter. Texture wise though it's definitely close to cream of wheat. I can't put anything but butter and salt on my grits. I am really craving some now lol.

I used to get upset at Asia for this but if you get anywhere near Seadrift Tx.
and see the rice fields nestled up next door to Union Carbide and Dupont plants the size of some cities well....hmmm.
