i will say this though.. i am utterly amazed at the mis information the international press gives their people about the usa.. i have cousins who live in ireland.. and the crap they tell me they hear is amazing.. and completely false..

I personally think Fox News and the Republicans are extremely LIBERAL and they have nothing conservative about them.

Here is what the Neo-Cons are:
*Globalists
*Wish to stick their nose in every countries business
*Unwaivering support for Israel as they slaughter Palestinians
(which brings Arab terrorism to America)
terrorists do not hate america because of its Freedoms
(as George Bush told us)
*They support giving 20 billion dollars to Israel a year
while America is in extreme debt
*Trying with all their might to influence a war with Iran
*Trillions of dollars spend abroad helping other nations under them
*No attention to securing the Mexican Border
*They do not believe in Small Government
George Bush passed the Patriot Act
*They always increase the deficit
*No discussion of whether the Federal Reserve is beneficial to America

BUT..........
We are supposed to clap our hands because they are slightly fiscally conservative when it comes to taxes for U.S citizens and because the appose Obama's Communist health care? give me a break.

As for the Democrats

They also are Globalists. They are extreme socialists leaning toward communism.

great post, but what you said about the repubs almost exactly translates to the democrats as well. too bad it is a 2 party system...its a false choice. its like having to choose between test c and test e, people have their favorites but the results are the same.

I work for a private corporation as well, just want to point out that theres a difference between a contractor and a merc. A merc has no political affiliation, will go anywhere, do anything for a dime. Us contractors only capitalize in service of political ideals we agree whole heartedly with for the most part (IE only fighting/providing services for the US and allied nations).


The guys in the movie were mercs, not contractors. Don't mean to be the military contractor police but just like to point out the difference just had someone start talking to me at the gym about it and they had no idea WTF they were talking about so ranting a bit in my head

That is, exactly, what I'm describing. These private contractors ARE the armed force. That's what many fear the new Corporate/Military Structure will be.

Nothing wrong w/ the private sector though, for the most part were far more effective that standard enlisted forces. I'm really hoping we start relying more on the private sector in the years to come, selfish as I know (more money for me) but far less American kids dying that have no place/no real training for tac situations and less collateral damage/bureaucracy.

I don't think joe schmo company will ever be able and contract me, but the large ones operating in political turmoil absolutely. But it won't be for anything like wiping out aliens lol, just PSD and such as it is now.

we have to remember that for every neo con that has "brainwashed" a person here in the states there is a equal number, if not more, that has been "brainwashed" by the left wing liberals (many of which would rather save a tree and not a human and that is no exaggeration) .. most americans, as stated above, lean more to the middle and a little to the right.. most are anti-abortion (except for extreme cases of incest and rape) and pro small government ect.. the problem we are having now is that the politicians are not listening to the majority and doing their will.. that will bite many in the "tush" come november elections..

Very true about how misinformed people overseas are, I have cousins in England and Italy and they got the wrong facts about the USA and yes the Hangover was a great movie, very funny

Wife and I rented that last night and I gotta say, that was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen! The taser scene at the police station was priceless, but the entire movie was just hilarious.

Concerning politics in the US, I will say just this then I will jump back out. Its disturbing how polarized views have become. It seems that the only choices I am given these days are (a) become a socialist or (b) Have someone cram their version of their Bible down my throat. What ever happened to moderation? Its not even in our vocabulary anymore. I feel extremism on either end is unhealthy.

Avatar I-MAX 3D.as for the message its not that much of a stretch that we trashed our own plant and now we are moving on to some one else's. but as for the movie it self the shear imagination that went into to this movie as well as the visual effects makes it the most amazing thing i have ever experienced. to date. well worth the money.
