With all the great wisdom around here what do you guys think, is it better to train your Arms on one day by themselves (Bi's/Tri's)? or train them seprately with another body part. ex.(Back/Biceps, Chest, Triceps)?

when i started training bis and tris together

for one arm day workout

they exploded with growth and hit 21" from 19

i would and still do arms with traps and calves

:)

before training with Phil, or switching to DC i dedicated a day to arms. Did Bi's, Tri's, and fore arms. i put it after my leg day and before a rest day.

bi's and tri's

I like doing them seperate.
back /bi s
chest/tri s

I give arms their own day. If I feel I need a little extra arm work I'll do a light, high rep set or two of something I don't usually do, like hammer curls on the preacher bench after back, or maybe a few sets of kickbacks for tris after delts.

i like to switch it up, i have done bi's and tri's on their own day and now i do chest, tri's..... back, bi's. I alternate this throughout the year usually as i like to vary my training split.

Hybrid...

Before I started with my trainer one routine would be

1) Chest and BI's
2) Legs
3) Back and TRI's

My thought was this- when you work your chest, you work your tri's as well and similarly- when you work your back, you work your bi's... so, by doing your chest/bi and back/tri, in a sense you get to work your arms twice a week (since they are a "smaller" muscle group they usually can recover faster).

I use to do the same as myosin.

i mix it up, so i dont get bored. For a few weeks i do them on their own days. Then i do chest/bi's back/tri's

Mix it up. Sometimes full arm workout by itself getting everything (and forearms) and sometimes split with chest/back

Take whatever you are doing now if you've been doing it awhile and change it.
I always try to mix it up and throw in something different, do a different order, etc. My calves are a hurtin today after completely mixing up the workout on them yesterday. Nice to get that good soreness again.

As long as you find exercises that hit them hard and you find a balance between frequency and volume that allows you to progress in those exercises you will be ok no matter the split

I like doing them seperate.

Keeping the muscle guessing is the key to my success.. By doing back and bi's together i noticed I put more emphasis on my back and my bi's were fried by the 2nd part of my workout. Same with chest and tri's.. The back/bi and chest/tri split worked well closer to contest time.. However during bulking season I try to focus on hitting every body part very heavy. So I do Back and Tri's together and I do chest and bi's together. This allows me to get after the bi's and tri's a little harder, considering they are not already pre-exhausted from doing heavy back or heavy chest. Training bi's and tri's together is another great way to explode ur arms. Just make sure your getting an adequet amount of recovery time by the time you train your back or chest.. So maybe throw ur leg day in-between.. Everyone is different, this is just what works best for me. Traing hard and heavy, going for that thick and dense muscle tissue. Best of luck..

I switch it up. Some days after Back, I will throw in a few bi work outs but for the most part, I always do Tri's after Chest. I just feel it works my Tri's more and most of the time I do Bi's alone.

Gotta just try different things and see what works best for you
