I posted this type of question on another board as well but since this is my real home it means a lot coming from here. As many of you know I had back surgery. What I had was a herniated disc and fragments pressing against two nerves. Well the procedure (Left Hemilamincetomy) was performed on Monday, The disc and fragments were removed and I am up and about. Now what I would like to know is there anyone here who had the same or similar procedure done and how long was it before you began going at least light with training. I was able to do light workouts prior to surgery but noticed a decrease in strength and a drop in weight. Also was there any supplementation used (AAS or OTC) in your recovery process. Now I know of a supplement called Juven. Juven is a blend of hydroxy methylbutyrate (hmb), glutamine, and arginine which play an important role in building tissue. Does anyone have an opinion on this or perhaps some advice on what supplementation to use for a strong healthy recovery? My diet is good and I will begin upping my protein intake soon to regenerate tissue. Any advice will be accepted and appreciated. Thanks.
