Somewhat off topic, but since we are in the mood
for sharing travel photos, here are some my wife
recently took on a backpacking trip in the Wind
River Range in Wyoming. (She is the only woman
on the trip and is easy to spot.).
The walk took about two weeks with re-supply in
the middle. It was over 150 miles long, traversing
the entire mtn range, was mostly off trail, high
altitude, cross country walking with lots of map
and compass work. (They lost a guy half way
through . . . could not do it.). It was led by a
amazing young man called Andrew Skurka, the
“Adventurer of the Year” by National Geographic
Magazine.
And in case you are wondering why I was not
there, I was in LA working at the time and
probably could not have kept up anyway.
Enjoy the fotos. The show lasts about 15 minutes.
