wo train with rubber bands ? i'm expecting a shoulder surgery in january and the surgeron told me that
i can train upper body just with bands.
it's very frustrating but my my head of the humerus is really in a state room and like that I do not worsen his state

Therapy bands are a little different than bands used by powerlifters. Nowhere near as much tension. You aren’t going to be building any muscle

Yep, when I was rehabbing my shoulder after surgery 2.5lbs was my workout weight. If I remember right the highest I went was to 10lb. Took a solid year to not feel pain anymore. Worth it though!

Im positive your doctor isnt telling you to work different parts of the strength curve on incline bench.
He just wants you to use some light tension and strengthening exercises a bit before surgery and not injure yourself more.
Listen to him.

After my shoulder replacement they had me start benching soup cans. But i could use the rowing machine. I am sure light weight bands will be enough of a challenge if the surgery is anything drastic. After my first shoulder surgery i still had a fair amount of strength and not injuring the recovering tissue was the big challenge.

Above all you will have to do mobility exercises. Little by little you can use bands and small dumbbells.

I use them daily for shoulder therapy , I have green 2.5lb , red 5lb and blue 7.5lb. they are a cheap set made from the surgery tube shit with a foam handle.

I use the blue one mostly now and do a set of 15 reps in several different movements (rotator cuff , labrum rehab) about every other hr or so at work.

ive had both shoulders "cleaned out" years ago and that actually caused some instability issues over time. Having shoulder pain I always stayed away from anything that was uncomfortable which made the shoulder weak and instability worse.
It's gotten MUCH better since starting the rehab

You might want to look at a product called Gorilla Bow. I've found it to be a very useful tool.
