Anyone tuning in on the SPEED channel? I love this shit. I'm a car junkie as I've seen that many others on this board are also. I'm lucky enough to live in Az. and will attend this weekend but unfortunately not lucky enough to have the jack to drop on a new ride. Maybe next year. My current toy is a
2003 50th anniv. Millenium yellow Z06 Corvette. Love Az. cause I can drive year round. I'm think'n I'll sell it at the end of the year to play at the
08' Bar. Jack. We'll see.

Stay the fuck away from those auctions if you're a car guy. Those jokers have cash to waste and will jack your cost if you want a driver. Figure out what you want and go elsewhere. Shit, my Firebird wold go for 60k on that show but its only worth 20 at the most. Start on Ebay and hit swappers all over the country. What are you thinking of?

LOL....ok PM members...i have seen this vet up close, it's the real deal...the shit is sweet! maybe he'll post a pic. when i first met this fool, i saw him driving a scion...i was like, wtf? oh well...some ppl arent into cars..then i saw him roll up in his vet one day and i gladly put my tail between my legs and walked away...LOL.

ps--did roth come up to you and offer to buy the scion off of you? i put him up to that...lol

Ya, Roth called me out. You mutha fucka. Hey, how do you like the lambo doors? Since I decided to keep the Z06 a while longer I may need to make some mods. I saw a vette on unique whips with the wings and it looked sick.

|--[\\\\]>------------ well i lambo'd my escalade first as you know, and even though it's unique and sick looking, the worst mistake of my life! the doors are way too heavy and it leaks air when driving faster than 60mph! just a shitty kit. a $4k mistake. now i got my chrysler 300c few mths back and lambo'd those doors 2 weeks ago and i love it. the doors are super light so the shock brings it right up and the LSD kit made them especially for the 300, i will check for you to see if they make one for the vet, which im sure they do, bc they are the best out there. drive it to my gym again and let me test the weight of the door and i'll let you try out the 300 to see if you like how they go up.

I didn't know you had mach 1's. What years? I'm all about the 68' camaro. My pops has a 70 1/2' split bumper camaro. Moms has a 65' 427 vette. Goes on n on with the fam... Bunch of gear heads, but love it.

my first car was a 69 mach that didn't have a passenger window and the throttle linkage was a pair of vice grips. I beat a 85 vette light to light thru town on the way home from buying it, it hadn't started in like 6 months before I went over there with my cash new battery. I was in love....fixed that up and drove it for about 5 years then bought a 70 out of a barn in colorado. Got a 351c4v from a buddy that wrecked his drag car... it was pumpin around 500. had to take it out. literally was undrivable on the street, had the original 351w stroked and put that one back in...that was a fun car...guy tboned me on the way to get a final paint job on it..totalled it had to sell it to a buddy I was in school and needed a ride and cash...him and his grand pa did a frame up resto that took 4 years on it so at least that one lives on ....

my mom works for kruse international so i know all about the auctions....she also works at a lot of the BJ auctions across the country as well...you can find good deals but you gotta have set limit to spend and dont get caught up in the hype of trying to outbid someone.

The Russo, Kruse always have the cream of the crop. I watch guys get so caught up in those bidding wars cause of the competitive side of it. Not for what the car really is. Crazy. Fun to watch though. You can run across some steals though. I've seen the likes of a Lotus Espree 20k and Vipers go for 45k. Those are the rides that make me consider bringing the jack.

Who saw the bid last night for the 69' Shelby Cobra Supersnake? it went for 5.5 million smackaroos. The same guy that bought the bus last year for 4 million, scouped up the supersnake. Must be rough to have to extend yourself like that, laying down $5.5 million for a toy that you can't play with. It amazes me, to what extent hobbiest will go to.

This Cobra was the ONE that Carol Shelby himself built and drove. All others following have been replicas. This car is the reason that you see all of the cobra kit cars out in the world. BBA, the car in Gone in 60, is a Shelbly GT350. Not the same model. I have always loved the Cobras. There is always that one car that you remember from your childhood. You know, the one that some dude down the street had in his garage and you'd drop everything that you were doing just to sit and stare. I had a neighbor that had a king Cobra Kit car. Loved that ride.
