BBers in the USA seem bigger/freakier than other countries

I read threads about guys getting pro cards in other countries that most people in the states would just overlook. Also, American BBers to me seem bigger and freakier than BBers in other countries. Does anyone else see or think the same? I know there are non Americans that are huge and Denise Wolf and Zack Kahn come to mind but in general. I don't want this thread to be a list of foreign BBers who are huge because I know they exist and it's not the point.

1. Is it because we have access to so called "gurus"?
2. Access to better supplements and information?
3. Is there more money and incentive with guys getting contracts with sup companies?
4. Or am I just delusional? This could possibly be the answer.

Remember we all have access to the same information and drugs if you have a computer with Internet.

Well, we don't all have access to the same drugs. Australia, for instance has a hell of a customs that is extremely anal about what comes in. So, for them, it'd be harder to get gear than us in the US

I also noticed more of the euro and arab guys come in totally diced and shredded up as well as having more of an aesthetic oldschool look. Their conditioning is retarded. Not sure what the reason is, just something I noticed. Maybe like you say it's the american way to be the biggest.

They seem to have more of a bloated gut than other bodybuilders around the globe too.

Perhaps outside of the US they are going for a different look? A non bloated, small wasted aesthetically pleasing physique. You see a euro/middle east show and these guys come in looking great. Better conditioning, better symmetry, less distended guts.

Americas mind set is more is better.

I don't have proof of this but a buddy of mine (national qualifying amateur) traveled abroad last year and trained with some of the bodybuilders in Europe. From what he said, I guess it's more popular to run high anabolics and low testosterone. Said that a lot of them don't like testosterone because of the bloat and gyno.

He also said that their insulin usage is much less than what is common over in the USA.

Those two together would keep them with a much tighter stomach and give a grainier look.

My friend was training with only five guys during his time so it may not be how they all do it in Europe but said it was pretty common over there.

It's because they use dream tan and we do not in the US, lol! Nah, us Americans just think bigger, be bigger concept!

In the us there is way more access to different drugs and higher quality drugs... but that makes no difference what so ever.... its your positive thinking that gets that extra size when you American

He asked for a ban, for a few differing reasons...

The mohamed Touri thread from above answers this in far more depth than I can, but the cliffs notes:

1) Less/no test, high anabolics--low water retention
2) less calories--none of this "force-feeding muscle gains"
3) more cardio/painful contest prep--buselmo says they really SUFFER through their contest preps...incredibly bland meals, tons of cardio, low/no carbs, that sort of thing
4) more value on conditioning than size--this is up to the judges of course

To me, a lot of non-American BBer's harken back to the golden age BBers of the 70's & 80's--small waists, beautiful lines, full heads of hair, no bloat.

Because you's Americans are over the top just look at the show us your tits thred, one of the members missus tits are out of this world ! And I love it! Haha but yeah look at your cars, and general size of everything, meals, buildings, houses... There all huge!! It's great!!
But yeah as above, in aust it's ALOT harder too get what u want unless you have deep pockets for local crap or know the right people over seas! Hgh, Hcg etc is almost impossible too get here due too how hard it is too get them thru customs!! But IMO there's no excuses, if u want something bad enough u push till u get it, don't let stupid customs try stop u! Oh until u hear a " knock knock" 6 in the morning, it's time to go

I agree witht this...the Arab guys do come in looking like shredded wheat. I actually prefer the look over big guts.

I think a big reason for this thread was because of the Aussie guys. They are giving pro cards to guys that you would typically see at any hardcore gym in the states. Not to take anything away from their hard work and dedication but I guess customs would be a great explanation why they are just overall smaller. I am not trying to be disrespectful so if you are down under please do not take offense....it is just something I picked up on and thought it was thread worthy.

Lee Preist was the only guy that I can think of that was really big but again he was VERY SHORT. I think most guys migrate to the states anyway if they are serious about having a career in this sport. Our country is the land of indulgance and taking things in excessive amounts and to extreme levels. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing but its just the truth. I will say that I do love my country and couldnt imagine living anywhere else.
